Christopher Schroeder earned a PhD with distinction in rhetoric, linguistics, and US American literatures from the University of Louisiana in 1999. He has taught college courses for more than thirty years, held professorships for more than twenty-five of those, and is currently a tenured full English professor at Northeastern Illinois University.
